Auto Accident Injuries
Auto accident injuries can result in a variety of painful injuries that can be hard to overcome. Our chiropractic services are less invasive and can offer the same standard of quality treatment in place of having painful surgery. We approach auto accidents with the same level of care and attention to detail that we do with all of our other related-injury treatments. If you have recently been in a car accident and would like to obtain our chiropractic services, we encourage you to get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we can perform a physical exam and assess your condition.
Some of the most common injuries that we see with auto accidents include back, shoulder, and neck pain. This is often because of the way the airbag hits the driver or the passenger and causes an excessive impact on those body parts. To remedy the pain in those areas, we will provide massage therapy and other treatments to target those problem areas to reduce the pain. If you have a less common injury as the result of an auto accident, we are still able to assist you and will need to perform a physical exam so that we can see, in further detail, the extent of your injuries.
How to Relieve Them
If you are suffering from injuries in your neck, head, and shoulders, one of the techniques that we will commonly use is called the Activator technique. This technique is used to relieve excessive pain and pressure that might be present on your upper body. It is intended to essentially reset your joints, and release any excess tension and stiffness that is present on your head, neck, and shoulders. Some of the other common techniques that are used include the Diversified technique, which is intended to reduce pain and increase mobility in parts of your lower body and your spine and lower back, or the Flexion technique, used to adjust the spine.
We believe in using massage therapy for many of our auto accident injuries simply because it can slowly but surely revitalize the muscles in particular areas so that you can regain movement in those much-needed body parts. We find that massage therapy works well for head, neck, and shoulder injuries to also reduce swelling. If you find that you have a hard time moving your neck or your head, massage therapy may be able to assist in helping you regain that movement easier.
As mentioned previously, one of the main purposes of all of our chiropractic services is to help reduce pain throughout your body. We know how challenging it can be to try and perform everyday activities with parts of your body aching in pain that you cannot manage. We use a variety of proven chiropractic techniques to deliver you pain reduction so that you can carry on with your life as normal and take on any everyday activities that you would like.
